About

Our Mission

To foster communication, information exchange and education opportunities to support the diverse professionals in their efforts to provide the best services available for the children they champion.

Additionally, the NC Child Support Council…

  • Provides articulation and coordination to address the needs and improve and promote the interests of those persons working in the child support process, as there are numerous agencies with interdependent functions at the state and county level;
  • Provides opportunities for those involved to come together and discuss common administrative and operational problems and work together to resolve those problems, while understanding each other’s roles in the system and process;
  • Improves interstate cooperation and processing of Uniform Interstate Family Support Act petitions between states to establish and enforce child support obligations through affiliation with NCSEA (National Child Support Enforcement Association).
